For Ourselves or for Others?

Perfume really has a different status in today’s society, but why people wear perfume? Here is the poll made by Sonoma Scent Studio.

According to the poll above, we can see that most people wear perfume partly for themselves and partly for others. That is, many people wear perfume as something of a fashion accessory. They might prefer wear something they think smells good, but even more importantly, they want it to smell good to others. Two major reasons. First, they want to be welcomed in their personal space, which is fragrant of course. This way, with the fragrance, they can enjoy the compliment from others. Second, when perusing any popular magazines, and we will see photos of glamorous men and women in advertisements for perfume and cologne. The fragrances are equated with sex appeal.
